Everything is subjective, isn't it? All of us come from different backgrounds, live different lifestyles, and believe in different ideals. If this is so apparent, then why do we still argue, bicker and fight? Why can't we just accept that what may be our meat may be someone else's poison? Why do we go to such extremes to prove our points? While knowing that our ferverent arguments will ultimately fall on deaf ears.
WHY?
Because we are humans.

We live to die
And so we have it, another chapter of our fleeting existence.
Quills of human bone.
Purest crimson water.
Of the living,
Of the dying.
Till death do us...
DIE.
Or live?
Quills of human bone.
Purest crimson water.
Of the living,
Of the dying.
Till death do us...
DIE.
Or live?
Momentary Pleasure
She's a creation made by evil hands.
She's slept in her grave for a thousand years.
But in this night of violent tears.
He brought her back to life again
He created an angel just for himself
He gave her beauty, he gave her life
But she could not live without a soul
So she faded away again

The Inconvenient Truth
Truth be told, we are all fuckers in one way or another. The only difference is how much of it we choose to reveal.
"For it is from dirt we were made, and it is dirt that we will descend to"
"For it is from dirt we were made, and it is dirt that we will descend to"
Social Scene Vice
One thing that all social scenes, regardless of how prolific or discreet, have in common.
HYPOCRISY
The ambiguous term stated above would mean a great many different things to different individuals. To some, it could be the act of dispensing petty gossip, while displaying a falsely positively-opinionated front. To others, it is the ultimate betrayal of trust.
However, what most people do not realise is that hypocrisy materialises due to the all-too-human desire to please everyone. Let's say if the group of people you're hanging out with have issues with person A, you would most likely act like you do too, even if person A has never offended you. It's a deadly sin called peer-pressure. It is astonishingly rare for people to stand up for person A, for fear of making a bad impression.
Given this scenario, the question we should ask ourselves would be "Does honesty really pay?"

Are we really?
In the light recent events previously unheard of eg. The Singapore Tattoo Show, an all too familiar question comes to mind. How open and accepting are we to different entities?
Sure, our country has been opening up a great deal in the past 2 years or so. Slightly less than a decade ago, rock concerts were virtually unheard of locally. But last year, bands like Incubus, Motley Crue, Avenged Sevenfold graced our shores. Even the widely-controversal musical, Avenue Q, which featured sesame street-like puppets acting and discussing ethically-questionable topics, was staged here. And of course, we kick off 2009 with a bang by staging the first Singapore Tattoo Show.
Quite apparently, open-mindedness is being rigourously encouraged. But as to whether these methods are formidable, whether the populace will view these events and activities with a mind as open as their organisers, only time will tell.

As with all beginnings
A little introduction is always appropriate, and so it shall materialise.
Please excuse the persona as he/she/it has not been blogging for a considerable amount of time, enough to sap fundamental amounts of creative juice out of the thinktank within the skull.
This blog has risen for a few reasons, some too unusual to name. But mainly, it humbly exists to state the persona's views on events, beliefs, etc.
Keep an open mind, and surrender to the unknown.
